Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Profile answers — your role, experience, domains, interests, paid tools, wedge preference, and channels. Stored in a 30-day cookie on your browser. Used to personalize candidate recommendations.
• Brief history— IDs of Briefs you generate, stored in a 1-year cookie so your "My Briefs" dashboard works without an account.
• Email — only if you explicitly enter one (e.g., to receive a Brief copy or contact us). Not collected from anonymous browsing.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see card numbers.
• Usage analytics — anonymous funnel events (profile_started, brief_viewed, etc.) via PostHog. No PII attached.
• Error reports — when something breaks, Sentry receives the error stack trace and request URL. We avoid logging request bodies.

What we generate

Briefs you generate are stored in our database under unguessable UUIDs. Anyone with the URL can view a Brief. We treat Briefs as semi-public — they reference public review data and don't contain personal information unless you put it there.

Who we share with

We share data with the processors listed in our Terms of Service §6 only as needed to operate the service. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising.

Cookies we set

• wedgely_profile — your profile answers (30 days).
• wedgely_brief_history— IDs of Briefs you've generated (1 year).
• Supabase auth cookies — only if you sign in (currently not required).
• PostHog session cookies — for analytics (auto-managed by PostHog SDK).

Your rights

You can clear your cookies any time to wipe your local profile and Brief history. Briefs you generated remain in our database under their URL until you email us to request deletion. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR — email hello@wedgely.io to exercise them.

Retention

Briefs are retained indefinitely so the URL stays valid. We delete payment records after 7 years (tax requirement). We keep error logs for 90 days.
